Late Nights and Uneventful Flights

Thanks to everyone who was able to send out a prayer on our behalf for the first leg of this trip! The flight went fairly smoothly. We got on at about 4 or so PST and arrived in DC at about 12:15 AM EST (that's 9:15 PM for those of you math challenged folks.) Unfortunately for us, neither of our girls slept at all the entire flight. And believe me, Aubrie could have used a good rest. Matt and I were both kicking ourselves for not bringing some cough syrup or something (JK!) Other than a few freak outs for Aubrie and one small one for Nettie (the video player ran out of juice) the flight went quite well. We talked the lady across from Matt and the girls into giving me her seat. Yes, you read that correctly, my generous husband chose to sit by the kids and give me the seat across the aisle! (Did I pick a good one or what!) Anyhoo, our seats were not together and this lovely lady gave up her seat so that I could sit across from my little girls and hubby.

After arriving in DC, the rest went incredibly smooth and easy. Our luggage came without a hitch, we caught a shuttle almost immediately to get our rental car, our rental car was UPGRADED to a Toyota Sienna without any cost to us and we got to the hotel room without too much of an issue. When we arrived at our hotel at approximately 2:00 AM EST, both of our precious girls were cashed out in their car seats in the backseat. It is now 10:15 AM EST and they are both still sleeping! We'll need to wake them soon and get on the road. We have about 5 hours to drive in order to get to Hawley, PA. Until next post my faithful readers . . .
