4th of July Fun

The Jahns didn't celebrate the 4th of July in the typical fashion. There were no fireworks, no parades, not even a whole lot of red, white and blue. However, we did spend some time as a family. On Friday, we went to visit the Oosterhouse clan at their campground for the afternoon evening. We swam in the pool, BBQ'd some brats and dogs, ate watermelon, rode bikes (or at least the kids did) and topped the eve off with some smores. Mmmmm, mmm, mmm! Thanks to Shell & Derek for having us come out and visit with them. Fun times! (I forgot my camera this day. DOH! But Shell got some pix on hers so hopefully, I can get them from her later!)

Then Saturday, we spent the day at Tilden Park. The older girls and their daddy rode the carousel while Betsie and I watched. We went to the "Little Farm" and looked at the animals, Nettie even got to feed a cow! And of course, no outing would be complete without some Mickey D's.
