The End of the Road

We had an amazing time at Woodloch. We left this morning just before 11 AM. Last night we had a lovely party for GG (Suzy's grandma) in honor of her 80th birthday. We had a wonderful dinner and then a little program. GG's kids and spouses (which include Nana and Papa) sang a great song to the tune of the Brady Bunch about the history of GG and her family. There was a juggling act by Jacob (Suzy's cousin), a poem read by Stephie Hope and all the greats old enough to sing sang a couple songs. Uncle Scott read a tribute to GG which was beautiful as well. We ended the evening with delicious cake and ice cream. After the party it was time to go back to the rooms to put the kids to bed since it was after 9 PM and then some of us hung out one last time and chatted in Matt and my room. This morning we were treated to one more fabulous breakfast and then it was back to the room for packing. We were very blessed with the weather being beautiful the whole trip. It rained this morning for the first time which actually helped us get on the road a little sooner. We are hoping to stop at Gettysburg for a few minutes, then it is off to DC for our hotel. We are also hoping to drive past some of the major monuments/memorials in DC before heading to bed. We'll let you know what we see tomorrow! Until then, dear readers . . .
