Camping Chronicles: Days 3 & 4
Day 3 of our camping adventure was fairly uneventful. We spent the morning playing at the playground area and hanging around the campground. In the afternoon we decided to change things up a bit and drove to the downtown area of Ft. Collins. We walked around looking at all the different shops and statues scattered throughout. Then to top it off we had some ice cream. I forgot my camera on that day, so I will have to try to get some pictures from Shelley. :(
Day 4 was a big day of hiking! We drove to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Below you will see the mandatory picture in front of the sign! To make life a little easier on the little ones, we first hiked a trail that was a little shorter called Bear Lake. It was absolutely beautiful. Amazingly all the kids made it the whole way without too much whining.
Betsie even thought it was great, of course, she got a free ride the whole time! :) After the first walk, the Jahn girls were done. So, Nana and the CA Jahns went back to the car and the rest of the crew went on another hike up to a beautiful waterfall. Even though I wasn't there, Papa took some lovely pictures and I'm posting one below.
I've finally uploaded all the pictures of our adventures to the Dropshots account. If you're intersested in seeing the full story in pictures, check it out!
Until next time, dear readers . . .
